Ice on text

I first started a 20cm x 10cm page then chose a chunky font to apply my effects and manipulation to. Then i duplicated the text layer "Jake" three times then changed the colour of the layers separate colours after that i slightly off set each layer to give it a thicker aspect. Then i rasterized the image used liquify to make it look like ice melting. I then duplicated the layer and skewed it placing it underneath my original text for a reflection effect then finally i used a flare effect on one side then added a black background.

JB Indesign Challenge task 5

The task was quite difficult to try and recreate the magazine cover because I had to fit all the text in the right place and to get different size text and different fonts but apart from trying to find a matching or exact font a size the task was fairly okay just takes concentration and a bit of time to complete. I think I completed the task and done a good job. I also used place holder text on unreadable sections of the magazine cover to make it complete.

Fire on text 2

I have typed my name then duplicated the text layer then rasterised both of the text then merged both of the layers together. Then I used the liquify tool to stretch the letters to give it a flame/fire effect to the word. Finally I duplicated the text with the fire effect then flipped it and placed it under my original text then lowered the opacity to give it a rippled water reflection effect.

JB Indesign challenge task 4

I used Indesign to create my newspaper cover and imported images provided in the class documents. I also used text boxes then fill place holder text to fill in paragraph's on the articles then i wrote the titles and sub titles myself. After that i divided my text and images to create more even and appealing outlook.
